Overview
New Orleans Trip Guide is an independent informational travel guide. This policy explains the technical information the site may process, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors. It does not provide legal advice.
Information you choose to provide
If you use the contact form, the site receives the name, email address, subject, message, and consent confirmation that you submit. This information is used to route and answer the request. Do not include passwords, payment information, passport details, health information, or other sensitive material.
Technical and security information
The hosting platform and security services may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps, and security signals. The Travel Spark Company LLC and its service providers use this information to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and maintain the site. Security logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or as required by law.
Contact delivery
Contact messages are delivered through the site’s configured WordPress email path. Delivery providers may process the message and routing metadata to transmit it. A successful on-screen response means the site accepted the request for delivery; it does not guarantee that a message reached or was read by a particular person.
Affiliate links and travel providers
The site may display tours, activities, lodging links, or other travel products supplied by third parties, including TravelSpark and Viator. A link may be an affiliate link, which means the site may receive a commission if a visitor completes an eligible purchase. The price, availability, rating, review count, cancellation terms, and transaction are controlled by the provider, not by this site.
Cookies and local storage
WordPress may use strictly necessary cookies for administrators and for security or form operation. Third-party travel widgets may set or request their own storage when they are rendered or opened. The site does not intentionally load nonessential analytics merely because this policy exists. If additional nonessential services are introduced, their technical behavior and any required visitor controls should be reviewed before launch.
Embedded and linked services
Pages may link to external websites. Visiting an external provider is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy practices. The site may also use Wordfence for security, LiteSpeed Cache for performance, ManageWP for maintenance, Yoast SEO for search metadata, IndexNow for URL discovery, and Brevo for configured email delivery. These services are separate systems with their own processing practices.
Retention
Contact messages and operational logs are retained only for the period reasonably needed to respond, maintain security, document site operations, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Backups may retain copies for a limited recovery period.
Your choices
You may choose not to use the contact form and may contact a travel provider directly after following an external link. Depending on applicable law and the nature of the information held, you may request access, correction, or deletion through the Contact page. The site may need to verify a request and may retain information when legally permitted or required.
Children
The site is intended as general travel information and is not directed to children. Visitors should not submit information about a child through the contact form.
